For Ikea I started with a target group description in a creative, visual way. I did some reasearch to find out the needs of the Ikea customers. Most customers are millenials. I focused on this group when I did this project for Akademie Vogue Amsterdam.
I developed a ‘Totempol’. This creative, decorative object is modular, you combine the parts you want and build your own custom object. Items to choose from are a smartspeaker, ambilight lamp, fridge, aroma diffuser and a terrarium. It is ideal for students; they have limited space and do not have the budget to buy it all at once.
